📌 LET'S HELP NORTH STATE FAMILIES GET READY FOR SCHOOL...

As another school year gets closer, I know there are families who could use a little extra help with backpacks, school supplies, clothing, or haircuts.

I've already found a few local events, but I know there are many more out there. My hope is that this post can become one place where families can find resources throughout the North State before school starts.

This is a list of events I have been able to find that may help.

📌 Shasta County Department of Child Support Services 10th Annual Backpack & School Supply Giveaway

📍Saturday, August 1st
Beginning at 9:00 AM (while supplies last)
2600 Park Marina Drive, Redding

This is a drive-thru backpack giveaway. Children must be present to receive a backpack, and no registration or application is required.

📌 California Hair 3rd Annual Backpack Giveaway

📍Tuesday, August 4th
10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Free backpack giveaway to help kids head back to school with confidence. They are also offering $10 kids haircuts throughout the event.

📌 Redding Heating & Air Back to School Community Event

📍Saturday, August 8th
11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
840 Commerce St, Redding

Free backpacks and school supplies (while supplies last), free haircuts, food, ice cream, face painting, jump houses, water slides, and activities for the whole family.
