Communities for Police Canines is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Redding Police Department’s K9 unit. Every donation is used to fund the purchase of new police dogs, training, and medical care for retired K9s. The K9 unit plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of both the communi

ty and Redding Police Officers, and this wouldn’t be possible without community support. Your contributions help the K9 unit continue their mission of “Helping Bad Guys Make Good Decisions.”

Redding Police Captain Brian Cole is attempting to complete the 171 mile Grand to Grand Ultra Stage Race through the Arizona and Utah Deserts. Captain Cole is using this competition as an opportunity to raise funds for Communities for Police Canines, Redding Tactical Officers Associations , and First Five Shasta. The donations that he receives will be divided between these three non profits.

Today's is the Day! Come out to the The Park grab a glass of "Dog Days" beer or wine and meet your RPD K9 unit. We will have our booth set up to purchase our new sweatshirts as well as other K9 swag. Gates open at 5 with K9 demos around 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

We are two days out from the 3rd annual Dog Days of Summer collaboration with Woody's Brewing Company . Yesterday was canning day. There will be four packs available for purchase at The Park, as well as beer on tap. Moseley Family Cellars is joining in the fun and will have "Dog Days of Summer" wine. Come enjoy a beer or glass of wine and support your Redding Police Department K9 Unit. The first K9 Demonstration will be closer to 7PM instead of 6PM. The second Demo will be around 8PM.

For this years beer release we are taking preorders. The preorders are $60.00 for a case (24) and can be paid for and picked up at Woody's Brewing Company the weekend of October 12th. By pre-ordering you will save $15.00 per case. Profits from the beer sold during the weekend and preorders will go directly to the RPD K9 unit.
