Spiritual Thought for the Week
The Freedom Within
As we celebrate the Fourth of July and reflect upon 250 years of our nation's journey, we are reminded that freedom is one of humanity's deepest longings. We cherish the freedoms we enjoy as a nation, while also recognizing that the greatest freedom begins within.
Spiritual freedom is not something we earn—it is something we remember.
It is the freedom to release fear and choose faith.
The freedom to forgive rather than carry resentment.
The freedom to love beyond differences.
The freedom to live authentically as the unique expression of the
Divine we were created to be.
Nature reminds us of this truth every day.
The eagle does not question the sky.
The river does not resist its flow.
The sun shines because it is its nature to shine.
Perhaps our deepest freedom is found when we stop striving to become someone else and simply allow the Light within us to be expressed.
As we gather this week, may we celebrate not only the birth of a nation, but the awakening of the spirit.
May we honor the freedoms won by those who came before us by choosing to live with compassion, courage, gratitude, and love.
For when the heart is free, the world is forever changed.
May your Independence Day be filled with peace, joy, and the quiet knowing that the greatest freedom you will ever experience already lives within you.
