United Way of the Black Hills

United Way of the Black Hills We unite people and resources to improve lives in the Black Hills by delivering measurable long-term

We work to ensure children enter school ready to learn and graduate on time. We work to reduce poverty, increase access to affordable housing, and give families the tools they need to prosper. We work to stabilize families in crisis by providing food, shelter, emergency assistance, and promote overall healthy living. We accomplish these goals by strategically partnering with nonprofits, government

, schools, and business to understand the needs in our community and identify the short and long term solutions to address these needs. Funding is invested in various nonprofits serving Rapid City and the greater Black Hills community who are able to implement the solutions. By bringing these entities together, United Way is able to orchestrate greater impact than any one organization could accomplish alone.

What an incredible day of giving back! 💙💪

The Monument Health Month of Caring Team took on one of the biggest projects yet last Friday! Partnering with the Belle Fourche Cross Country team they removed more than 250 tires from the Belle Fourche River!

With 20–25 amazing volunteers working together, they made a huge impact on the community and the environment. We are so grateful to everyone who came out, worked hard, and helped make this project such a success! ❤️

A huge thank-you to the Belle Fourche Cross Country team and all of our Monument Health volunteers! What an amazing impact!

BELLE FOURCHE—Volunteers once again teamed up to continue to beautify the Belle Fourche community on August 14. This time, their target was all of the dirty old tires that had been dumped into the Belle Fourche River near the Roundup Sports Complex. A group of over 20 individuals led by Nikki Hoym...
