The Triangle Orchid Society meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:30 PM at JC Raulston Arboretum. Guests are always welcome.

We promote the understanding of orchids, how to grow & enjoy them, and provide opportunities to meet fellow orchid lovers.

Members' Orchid highlight from Triad Orchid Show:
Paphiopedilum Krull's Mona Lisa is a rare, multifloral slipper orchid hybrid registered by the ⁠Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). It is known for its highly unique, exotic appearance featuring elongated, twisting petals inherited from its distinctive parentage.

Members' Orchid Highlight from Triad Orchid Show:
Vanda Cherry Blossom (originally registered as Ascofinetia Cherry Blossom) is a highly celebrated, compact primary hybrid orchid created by E. Iwanaga in 1961. It is an equal cross between Vanda falcata (formerly Neofinetia falcata) and Vanda ampullacea (formerly Ascocentrum ampullaceum). The hybrid combines the delicate, star-shaped grace of the Japanese "Samurai Orchid" with the explosive, dense pink-to-magenta coloration of its Thai parentage.

Over 48 members and guests enjoyed Linda Thorne, Seagrove Orchids, speak on Oncidiums or the Dancing Lady Orchid. Members out did themselves on beautiful specimens for the Show Table.

Members orchids from Triad Show:
Dendrobium Aussie's Hi-Lo is a highly sought-after miniature primary hybrid orchid (a cross between Den. cuthbertsonii and Den. laevifolium) known for its compact size, tough hybrid vigor, and vibrant flowers that can last for months.

Mother's Day was extra special if you attended or your orchid won a ribbon at the Triad Orchid Show! Show season is wrapping up but our orchids will be putting on displays all summer long in our growing areas.
