Join us this Saturday, October 11 at 10 am, when Julia Corden presents her talk, ‘The Gardens of Scotland’ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Social time begins at 9:30am and all are welcome to attend. There will be cake as it’s our 40th anniversary!

Meetings are in person only at the Ruby McSwain building in the JC Raulston Arboretum, Raleigh, NC

Julia Corden is a past president of the Scottish Rock Garden Club and an acclaimed international speaker from West Sussex, England.
Julia will take us through some of the finest public and private gardens of Scotland, including a visit to the renown Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, (as seen in the photo) with its magnificent old rock garden.
She will show us the Explorers Garden in Pitlochry, Scotland, where she was manager for 18 years.
The diversity of plants that are grown in Scottish gardens will amaze you. Julia, with her keen knowledge of plants and gardens, will wow us with photographs of the wide diversity of gardening in Scotland. Her passion for horticulture, especially alpine and rock garden plants, will be obvious in her lecture.

Piedmont members of the North American Rock Garden Society (NARGS) gave lectures yesterday at our monthly meeting on NARGS-sponsored trips to the Argentine Patagonia in 2022 and 2023. One talk on southern Patagonia was by Jim Jahnke and the other was by Tim Alderton about northern Patagonia. Photos by Sieverling Harwood.
