A few weeks ago, we had the chance to spend the day with pastors and ministry leaders from across North Carolina.

Gathering 2026 was a chance to connect with people who are serving, leading, and planting churches across our state.

For us, these events are about more than setting up a booth. They give us a chance to meet people, hear what’s happening in local churches, and talk about how we can come alongside them as they care for their communities.

We’re grateful for the conversations, the connections, and the opportunity to be part of a gathering centered around the local church.

It’s easy to think community care requires a bigger organization.

We see it differently.

Local churches are already woven into their communities.

They know their neighbors.
They know their neighborhoods.
They often see needs long before anyone else does.

Our role is to help equip those churches to respond.

Because the strongest care often happens when the people already in the community are equipped to serve it well.

It’s been so good to connect with pastors and other church leaders, hear what’s happening in their churches, and spend time together.

Behind these walls, God is building community.

During recent worship services at NCCIW, twenty-seven women surrendered their lives to Jesus.

And then we saw something beautiful.

Thirteen women surrounded one of their new sisters in Christ, hugging her, encouraging her, and welcoming her into the Family of God.

Faith wasn't just spoken about that day.

It was lived out through love, encouragement, and community.

We’re grateful to come alongside local churches and ministry leaders serving through prison ministry and to witness what God is doing.

Please pray for these twenty-seven new believers as they grow in their faith and walk with Jesus.
