Care doesn't always look complicated.

Sometimes it looks like a meal.
Sometimes it looks like a shirt that fits.

Sometimes it looks like a church opening its doors and making room for a family in need.

In July, the Care Pantry at Point Church in Cary provided 20,488 meals to 647 families and distributed 640 articles of clothing.

Behind every number is a person.

A family.
A real need.

And an opportunity for a local church to show care.

Right now, we’re in need of more volunteers on Saturday mornings to help give away clothing at the Care Pantry, especially as families prepare for back-to-school.

What if one evening could help bring hope within reach for more people in our communities?

That’s the heart behind Night of Hope, our annual fundraising dinner on Friday, November 20.

Dinner, live music, powerful stories of impact, and a big surprise we’re bringing to the evening.

When we come together, we can help more churches help more people.

Night of Hope strengthens the work of our Care, Counseling, and Prison ministries so local churches can continue responding to urgent needs and walking with people toward restoration and renewal.

What happens when the people who see the need can connect with the people ready to help?

Earlier this month, we joined Patrick Neff with CarePortal at the NC Social Services Institute Conference in Hickory.

We were there to share how CarePortal can help social services connect children and families with the care of local churches.

Social services see the needs.

Churches can come alongside families with practical care.

CarePortal helps connect the two.

That's part of what it means to equip local churches to be ready when a need arises. We don't replace the work already happening in our communities. We help churches come alongside it.

When churches and community partners work together, more families can experience care, hope, and the possibility of restoration.

What if you could see prayer?

That's what this chain represents.

Each link carries the name of someone from the community who is praying for the men at Central Prison.

Together, those names will form a chain long enough to wrap around the gymnasium where Prison Ministry volunteers will gather.

Before a conversation happens.
Before a volunteer walks through the doors.
Before ministry begins.

People are already praying.

We are continually reminded that restoration starts long before anyone sees the outcome.

It begins when local churches and communities come together in faith, believing that no one is beyond the reach of hope.

An emergency clothing need has come up at the Care Pantry, and we need volunteers to help make sure families can receive what they need.

Someone returning home after incarceration is looking for a fresh start.

The question isn't whether needs exist.

The question is whether the Church is ready to meet them.

That's why we come alongside local churches with resources, training, and support that help them care for people well.

Hunger doesn't always look the way you'd expect.

It's not always the stranger on the corner.
Sometimes it's the family that still shows up every Sunday, dressed and smiling, quietly stretching the last of what's at home.

That family rarely asks.
So the help has to be ready before they do.

We work alongside local churches to keep food on hand for exactly that moment.
So when someone finally asks, the help is already there.

Most of the families your church could reach, you'll never cross paths with.

Right now, somewhere close to your church, a caseworker is sitting with a family in a hard season.

Sometimes rent is behind. Sometimes there's not enough food this week.

CarePortal closes that gap.

When a caseworker enters a real, vetted need, nearby churches get an alert. Your church can see it, respond, and trained volunteers can even help deliver it in person.
