So thankful for partnerships at Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina and Food Lion. Together with our volunteers it was possible to bring local families 220,926 pounds of food, equating to 265,112 meals!

Our food Pantry is open to anyone in need every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month from 830am—11am. No requirements!

Join the Food Bank on August 19th for our final senior voucher distribution of the summer at the State Farmers Market! We will distribute fresh produce vouchers for Wake County seniors who meet income guidelines.

This program is a part of the NC Seniors Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program. During the summer, this program provides vouchers in participating counties to eligible lower-income older adults to purchase fresh produce at NC SFMNP-certified farmers' markets.

Voucher Requirements:
-A senior needs to be 60 years or older
-Live in Wake County
-Have an income of less than 185% of the poverty limit ($2,461 or less for a one-person household)

This marks the beginning of a new chapter for us in Durham. The new 'Food Lion FEEDS' Hunger Solution Center doubles our capacity to deliver nutritious food in the Durham region. We hope to keep growing alongside our community and, of course, continue supporting our neighbors!

August 15 is the deadline to apply for SUN Bucks, a summer nutrition program for kids that provides $120 of grocery dollars per eligible child to help families pay for groceries during the summer months.
