Hello Parkins Peeps! What a day! We did it! Another beautiful day and an incredible amount of money raised all of which goes directly to the Duke Cancer Institute specifically for ovarian cancer research. So honored and proud of my ovarian cancer friends and family, together we raised $252,000! I will continue to post pictures as I receive them and I will post the photo booth picture links as well. It has been a busy September with my oldest daughter's wedding and the 24th annual ovarian walk/run. I am truly blessed. Love you all and can't wait to do it all again next year for the 25th Anniversary which will be 9/25/2027!

Good morning Parkins peeps! Whoop Whoop, we closed out online registration with 83 teams and over 800 people preregistered to participate in our special day! You can still register today in person at Fleet Feet off Colonnade Center drive in Raleigh from 3:30-5:30, or in person tomorrow at the registration tents at the event. We are still a little behind last year's numbers so please come out or if you missed the cut off and need to do online, reach out to me and I will do my best to get you registered!

Hello Parkins Peeps! I feel like I always have a reflection day close to the walk and today was definitely that day. I have been working on volunteers and venue layouts today and I stopped to look at the teams online. WOW! 76 teams! And over half of these teams have participated for more than 5 + years. And many teams for over a decade. I am in awe of that love and passion and commitment. Thank you to everyone for helping keep this event alive and going year after year. Thank you to my friends and family and neighbors who all come to me each year willing to do whatever I need help with. And I always need help and accept graciously! This is a group effort and a labor of love, and I am ready for it! 9.5 days to go, if you want to post a comment on how many years you've been participating or why or who you are doing it for, please do. Today was my reflection day and I am more pumped than ever to raise awareness and money for ovarian cancer and to make our special day Saturday, September 26th the best one yet.
I started the event to honor my mother, but I continue this event for each of you.

Hello again Parkins Peeps! Ive been kinda quiet over here this month because my daughter just got married! I thought I’d share this photo of my family and her new husband! My mother sure would have loved being there but I felt her holding my hand the entire day!💙
