ONE OF PUNTA GORDA'S MOST INCREDIBLE PLACES IS CHANGING LIVES...ONE RESCUE AT A TIME! 🦁🐅
As your Local Chamber of Commerce, we love shining a spotlight on the businesses and nonprofit organizations that make our community so special.
And Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary is certainly one of them!
Every animal at Octagon has a story. Some have experienced neglect, abuse, or circumstances no animal should ever endure.
But thanks to the compassion and dedication of the people at Octagon, those stories don't have to end there.
100% of the animals at Octagon are rescues. No breeding. No buying or selling. Just a lifelong commitment to giving these incredible animals the safety, dignity, and care they deserve.
And here's something I love about our community...When you support a local nonprofit, you're not just supporting an organization. You're supporting a MISSION. ❤️
Whether you're a longtime resident, a seasonal neighbor, or visiting beautiful Punta Gorda for the first time, we encourage you to discover the incredible work happening right here in our own backyard.

Because supporting local isn't just about where we shop or dine. It's also about supporting the organizations that make our community a better, kinder, and more compassionate place.
We're proud to shine a light on Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary and the extraordinary work they do!
And to the team at Octagon...THANK YOU for reminding us that every life matters and every rescue deserves a second chance.
🦁🐾 Every Rescue Has a Story. Every Story Deserves a Second Chance. 🐾🦁
At Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary, 100% of the animals who call our sanctuary home are rescues.
Many came from roadside zoos, circuses, private ownership, or were confiscated by government agencies due to neglect or abuse. They didn't choose the lives they were given—but they deserve the chance to live out the rest of their lives with dignity, safety, and compassionate care.
Our mission isn't to breed, buy, or sell animals. It's to provide a forever home where rescued wildlife can heal, thrive, and receive the specialized care they need.
When you visit, donate, volunteer, or become a member, you're helping give these incredible animals the life they deserve.
Thank you for standing with us and supporting wildlife rescue. Together, we're changing lives—one rescue at a time. ❤️🐅🦁
