💊💊National Rx Medication Take Back Day was a success! 108 lbs of medication was collected on Saturday October 25th at the Punta Gorda Public Safety Complex.
Thanks to our wonderful community doing their part to support substance abuse prevention! By participating in National Rx Take Back Day, you can do your part by keeping our ecosystems safe and healthy by disposing of your old, expired, or unused medication safely and responsibly, preventing the polluting of our groundwater with dangerous chemicals by throwing medication away or flushing it down the toilet. Thank you to all who participated!
If you still have medication, whether it be Rx or over the counter, that you need to dispose of because they have expired, are old, or you no longer need them, you can bring them to the Punta Gorda Public Safety Complex located at:
1410 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, Florida
anytime, 7 days a week, and drop them in the Medication drop box where they will be incinerated along with all bottles and prescription labels including personal information.
It's as easy as that. :)
KEEP US SAFE, CLEAN THEM OUT, TAKE THEM BACK

🤩🍕🍭🥤🎼ATTENTION Parents of PGMS students,
It's time for Drug Free Punta Gorda's Halloween Dance, D-Fy sign-ups, and DFPG fundraiser at Punta Gorda Middle School happening on Tuesday, October 28th!
This event will be a blast for students and give them a chance to dance to great music, enjoy games, food and fun with friends!
The funds we raise at this event will help DFPG to continue to provide awesome youth-based programs to PGMS students!

My heart goes out to the family and loved ones of Charlie Kirk. This senseless act has taken a father, a son, a friend, a brother, a Christian and a child of God, away from those that love and cherish him and has left two young children without a father. It breaks my heart to know that these things are still happening in our country, in the public eye and on a college campus. This event has changed so many lives. I am compelled to say publicly that my prayers go out to every person whose life will be forever changed by the loss of this young man at age 31. Condolences and God Bless the Kirk family.
