CCF was in academic mode this summer as we assessed the impact reports from our Spring 2025 grantees, distilling the data into a compelling summary.
https://lnkd.in/eih6FfkP

The $80,000 in total grants from the Spring 2025 unrestricted funding supported 29 nonprofits providing an array of services across Charlotte County.

The report shares the collective impact made possible by community members who support Charlotte County’s nonprofit sector by giving to CCF’s Community Impact Fund and by establishing named, permanent endowments that are pooled collectively to support our competitive grantmaking. These “Charlotte Forever” https://www.charlottecf.org/charlotte-forever-funds/ funds start at $5k and the result of support by the community, for the community is already making a measurable difference across Charlotte County. We are grateful to the donors who made this funding possible through our Charlotte Forever Funds and the difference our new competitive unrestricted grants program is already making in the community.

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, the Charlotte Community Foundation is pleased to celebrate one of our nation's enduring traditions, philanthropy.

In this insert to the The Daily Sun- Port Charlotte newspaper, CCF President and CEO Dr. Shelley Strickland reminds us that philanthropy is "voluntary action for the public good." Since our nation's founding, Americans have invested in one another through education, service, and charitable giving.

For more than 20 years, Charlotte Community Foundation has carried that tradition forward by connecting generosity with opportunity through grants and scholarships that benefit Charlotte County today and for generations to come.

We were proud to help share this message as part of The SUN's America250 special section, celebrating the spirit of giving that has shaped our nation and continues to strengthen our local community.

Here's to 250 years of giving, serving, and strengthening our communities.

We are happy to support CAPS, the career exploration program that is concluding its first year at Babcock High School. The inaugural class has students building relationships with employers in hospitals, emergency medical services, bioengineering, manufacturing, and a host of other sites. Off to a fantastic start!

We are honored to announce that the BHS CAPS Program has been awarded a $7,500 grant from the Charlotte Community Foundation! 💙💚

As the first CAPS Program in Florida, our Center for Advanced Professional Studies program launching this fall will provide students with individualized, real-world career experiences through community partnerships, mentorships, and hands-on learning connected directly to their interests and future goals.

Thank you to the Charlotte Community Foundation for investing in innovative education and the future of our students.

was the theme Tuesday as a happy group representing 35 nonprofits were awarded the Charlotte Community Foundations's spring cycle competitive grants. CCF Board member Mark Odell, Business Retention/Expansion Manager for Office, shared the group's excitement by asking them to raise their hands to show the checks they had received. The evening was the culmination of careful deliberations by two dozen Charlotte County volunteer reviewers, after which the CCF Board approved the distribution of $172,500 in unrestricted funds, more than doubling the Fall 2025 CCF nonprofit awards. Funds came from the Community Fund as well as the newer endowed fund option, in which donations starting at $5,000 are pooled for maximum impact.
