🏠🔨 Today our Murdock ReSale store team, including Dennis, Marilynn, Jimmi, and Patrick, traded the comfort of air conditioning to help build the walls on their store's sponsored house.

They worked alongside future homeowner Bethany and became pros at hammering nails, building walls, and helping turn her dream of homeownership into a reality.

Thank you to everyone who has shopped our store and donated items. You didn't just support a thrift store; you helped a local family build a place to call home.

🏠🔑 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀!

Today marked another milestone as we celebrated the closing and home dedication for Hannah and her new beginning.

Hannah is a single mother to her son, and they have been living with her parents since they moved from Tennessee. In her own words, "It has been a constant financial struggle. The prices of everything keep going up, especially the housing market and rent. I was encouraged to apply to Habitat by a co-worker, and this opportunity has truly been a huge blessing to us. We will have our own safe, stable house and yard where our family can grow. The future looks bright for us."

Both of Hannah's parents were able to celebrate this wonderful occasion with her, and her church pastor blessed her new home. From the first day of building to the moment the keys were placed in Hannah's hands, this house represents hard work, hope, and the promise of a brighter future.

🔨💙 Last Friday, a group of incredible volunteers from T-Mobile traded in phones for hammers and helped us build something that will last a whole lot longer than a cell signal.

The T-Mobile team joined us on the job site to help frame the exterior walls of one of our newest Habitat houses, and we are so grateful for the time, energy, and teamwork they brought with them.

Thank you, T-Mobile, for stepping away from the screens and getting your hands dirty with us! We appreciate you helping us build strength, stability, and brighter futures in Charlotte County.

🏠🔨 Today was a big day on the job site as the walls went up on a new Habitat home. And it took a true team effort to get it done.

We're especially excited to celebrate that our Port Charlotte ReSale store is the sponsor of this house. Alan, Jenny, Sarah, and Cynthia from PCRS stepped away from their typical job duties at the store and onto the job site to help raise the walls alongside our newest future homeowner, Kristi.

It may have been hot and humid, but everyone pitched in, worked together, and kept at it until every wall was standing! And Kristi's dad was right there lending a hand and helping his daughter take on this momentous step towards homeownership.

There is something special about watching a future homeowner, family, Habitat staff, and volunteers come together to literally raise the walls of the place Kristi and her kids will soon call home. 💙

Today we celebrated as Kaitlynn and her two children officially became homeowners.

Surrounded by many family members, community partners, and Habitat staff, Kaitlynn was reminded that this journey was never one she walked alone. Kaitlynn's pastor shared a heartfelt prayer as we blessed the home and family. Their love, encouragement, and unwavering support made today's dedication even more meaningful.

A Habitat home is more than four walls. It's a place where children can grow, families can gather, and dreams can take root. For Kaitlynn and her kids, this home represents stability, security, and a future filled with new traditions and countless happy memories.
