A HUGE thank you and shout-out to our incredible Punta Gorda Rotary Family for stepping up in such a big way for our Shoe Drive Fundraiser! 💙🎉 My trunk was completely full by the time I left our meeting today! 🚗💨📦
A very special thank you to whoever left those donation bags outside of our meeting room today—I don't know who you were, but you made my day! 🎁🙌✨
Seeing community members lift each other up is what Rotary’s motto, "Service Above Self," is all about! 🤝🌟 When we gather shoes, Funds2Orgs sends them to micro-entrepreneurs in developing nations to help launch and support small businesses 🌍💼, while the funds raised right here directly transform the lives of the women in Polly's Promise and support the Charlotte Reentry Initiative (CRI)! 🌸🌱 It’s a true ripple effect of hope: local people helping global entrepreneurs, who in turn help transform lives right here at home! 🥰✝️💫

Come out and see Charlotte Reentry Initiative (CRI) & Polly’s Promise as part of the Nonprofit Expo at the 3rd Annual Neighborhood Fall Festival!
🗓 When: Saturday, October 17, 2026 | 12:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.
📍 Where: Laishley Park – 100 Nesbit St., Punta Gorda
Bring the whole family to enjoy FREE food, trick-or-treating, a costume contest, a dessert walk, and live entertainment!
👟 HELP US REACH OUR SHOE DRIVE GOAL! 👟
We will have a table at the expo collecting shoes for our Shoe Drive Fundraiser with Funds2Orgs! Clean out those closets and bring us your gently worn, used, or new shoes for men, women, and children! Every pair helps support local sober living for women and empowers micro-entrepreneurs globally.

Our hearts are completely full! God is so good, and the way our incredible community has stepped up since Sunday leaves us speechless! The love poured into our home for our ladies is nothing short of a miracle! 🌟

Words cannot express how beyond wonderful Cherie Roach has been to us! We met this absolute angel over the phone, and she immediately jumped in to help. When she saw our computer was taken care of, she pulled up our Amazon Wishlist and showered us with blessings! 📦🎁
Today we received Tupperware, under-the-bed storage, paper towels, laundry detergent, garbage bags, a tea kettle 🫖, Bibles along with study guides, and a Lysa TerKeurst Bible study to help our ladies process their emotions! 📖🙏
Cherie even rallied her friends and family to bless us: one friend is donating a bookshelf, another sweet friend named Carol donated a computer chair 🪑, and Cherie’s sister is sending a whole bundle of extra goodness, too! Cherie, you are a gift straight from Heaven, and we thank God for you! 🕊️💖✨

What a perfect morning for a 3.2 mile walk with this incredible group! 🌅👟 The weather could not have been better, but the absolute best part was the community and all the love!
A HUGE shout out and heartfelt thank you to all the amazing ladies who showed up this morning and were so sweet, kind, and welcoming our newest member! 💕 It was such a beautiful sight to see everyone coming together, and I honestly can’t believe I waited five whole years to finally join in!

We were blessed with so many shoe donations today—you all brought enough to fill TWO full bags! 🙌 We still have a bunch to go for our Funds2Orgs drive, so please keep talking to your friends, family, and neighbors! We are accepting new or gently used men’s, women’s, and kids’ shoes. Every pair makes a huge difference!

We will definitely be back very soon, and hopefully next time we can collect even more! Thank you all so much for the love and support! 🥳✨👟 🙌

At CRI, we know that true RECOVERY and successful REENTRY go hand-in-hand. 💖 Both take a strong support system, fresh starts, and safe places to heal. That’s why we’re tying tomorrow’s vigil directly to a major goal we are working toward! 🚀

🍕🏅 OUR MEDAL PICKUP PARTY WAS AN ABSOLUTE BLAST! 🏅🍕

What an unforgettable afternoon hosting our Medal Pickup Party for our Overdose Awareness 5K/1-mile Remembrance Walk! The pizza from IL Primo Pizza & Wings - North Port was Absolutely Delicious 😋 and the room was overflowing with Big Smiles, Deep Conversations, Hugs, and Pure Community Heart. 💖

Getting to sit down and truly connect with so many of our race participants made our day so Special. There were even a couple tears shed 😢 as I got to talk with people about their Angels 👼 and share some long, meaningful Hugs. That connection is what this event is all about. 🌻💜

👟 SHOE DRIVE FOR POLLY'S PROMISE!
We are continuing our shoe drive managed through Charlotte Re-Entry Initiative CRI as a fundraiser for POLLY'S PROMISE! We are partnering with Funds2Orgs to make an impact both locally and globally! 🌍

WHERE DO THE SHOES GO? Funds2Orgs takes all the collected shoes and ships them to developing nations around the world. 🌎 There, micro-entrepreneurs use them to create, sustain, and grow small businesses in their local communities! So your donated shoes don't just raise funds to help open Polly's Promise right here at home—they also give families abroad a pathway out of poverty. How cool is that?! 🙌✨

BUT WE HAVE SOME SOLE-FUL RULES! 😜
Since Funds2Orgs needs these shoes to be re-sold and worn by others, we need shoes that still have plenty of life in them! We CANNOT accept "sad / bad" shoes! 🚫👟

❌ NO rips, tears, or heavy wear (if they look like they survived a bear attack, keep 'em at home! 🐻)
❌ NO soles that are melted, distorted, or flapping around like a puppet
❌ NO broken heels or buckles
❌ NO wet, moldy, or lonely single/mismatched shoes (they need their better half! 💔)

If you have NEW or GENTLY USED pairs sitting in your closet waiting for their second chance at glory, please bring them out!
So here's the game plan: Pick up your medals, eat a free slice of pie, and donate your gently used shoes! We can't wait to see your smiling faces on Saturday, September 12th! 🙌🎉✨
