when you donate during 401Gives! This 401Gives 2026 join us and making sure the little guys/gals receive donations. When you see the leaderboard, sought from the bottom up and donate.

There are over 500+ nonprofits participating and the TOP 20 are seen above the fold. This tends to push the smaller orgs further down.

This is our campaign focus again like last year. We also introduce our Rhode Island Black Philanthropy Month - RIBPM cohort.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The MUSE Foundation of Rhode Island ( ) Announces the 2026 Rhode Island Black Philanthropy Month - RIBPM Cohort and 401Gives Campaign Strategy

The MUSE Foundation of Rhode Island is proud to formally announce the organizations selected for the Rhode Island Black Philanthropy Month 2026 Cohort. Guided by our mission to "Demystify Philanthropy" and our core strategy of "Giving From The Bottom Up," this year's cohort represents grassroots, community-centered nonprofits doing essential work across Rhode Island.

We are honored to uplift and support the following organizations as our 2026 Cohort:
• AS220
• Rhode Island Black Storytellers (RIBS)
• Rhode Island Coalition of Black Women, Inc. (RICBW)
• ARISE
• The Center for Indigenous Peoples Rights (The CIPR)

How the 2026 Cohort Integrates with 401Gives Day

During the 2026 401Gives campaign, which runs from 6:00 AM EST on March 31 through 6:00 PM EST on April 1, The MUSE Foundation is dedicating its platform to increasing the visibility and financial backing of these five specific organizations.

While 401Gives inspires incredible statewide generosity, smaller, community-driven nonprofits often struggle to compete for visibility against larger organizations with established donor networks. To level the playing field, The MUSE Foundation has established a $5,000 fundraising goal for its endowment during this 36-hour event.

If this $5,000 goal is achieved, it will unlock a 1:1 matching gift. This $5,000 match will then be allocated directly among the members of the 2026 Rhode Island Black Philanthropy Month Cohort. The funds will be distributed to these five organizations in August 2026 like last year, perfectly aligning with the statewide celebration of Rhode Island Black Philanthropy Month.

We are calling on our community to "Flip The Script" and help us ensure these grassroots organizations receive the support they deserve. By making a donation where even a minimum investment of $5 or $25 makes a difference you are helping to make philanthropy more accessible, inclusive, and community-driven.
