NAMI Rhode Island was founded in 1983 by family members of people with serious mental illness as a grassroots, volunteer organization joined together to improve services for persons who are diagnosed with mental illness. Today we support education, research and other efforts to reduce stigma and discrimination against consumers of mental health services and their families which will finally lead to understanding and cure for this common health disorder.

The Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities, and Hospitals (BHDDH) is currently conducting a statewide survey to better understand the needs, gaps, and experiences related to mental health and substance use services in Rhode Island. The results of this survey will inform Rhode Island’s federal Mental Health and Substance Use Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Services Block Grants and help guide funding and service planning across the state.

Participation involves completing an anonymous online survey. Individuals who complete the survey may also choose to enter a raffle for a small gift card. Scan or visit link provided.
