Be safe and be seen while riding your bike! Greater Mercer TMA and Trenton Cycling Revolution will be tabling outside the Trenton Transit Center with equipment to keep you safer while riding. Stop by between 3:00 and 5:00 pm on October 28 to receive lights, helmets, bells, and reflective bands!

🚶 October is National Pedestrian Safety Month, and we are bringing it to Nassau Street.

Join the Princeton Police Department Community Relations Bureau on Thursday, October 22 from 12 to 2 PM on the sidewalk in front of Tiger Park, Nassau Street at Palmer Square. Stop by, meet your officers, and pick up Street Smart NJ materials with simple tips for walking and driving in town.

Heads up, phones down. Cross at the crosswalk. Drivers, New Jersey law requires you to stop and stay stopped for pedestrians in a marked crosswalk. Small habits on both sides of the curb are what keep our neighbors safe on Nassau Street.

We will be joined by Princeton University Department of Public Safety, Princeton University Transportation and Parking Services, Greater Mercer TMA, and the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey, with coffee support from Sākrid Coffee Roasters.

🚲 Spokes & Skills on the Lawrence Hopewell Trail!
In collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of Mercer County, The Bike Exchange, and Greater Mercer TMA, each participant receives a FREE bike, helmet, lights, and a bell! Our awesome staff and volunteers teach kids the rules of the road, how to ride safely with friends, and basic bike maintenance. Building skills, confidence, and safer cyclists for the future! 💙🛠️

We had a great time celebrating school arrivals with our famous quiz wheel and prizes. What a fun way to start each day while promoting safe, healthy, and active transportation! 💚

🚲 Thank you, Community Park School! 🎒

The Princeton Police Department Community Relations Bureau joined our partners Greater Mercer TMA for a morning of bike and pedestrian safety. Students spun the prize wheel 🎡, played safety games, and showed us just how much they already know about riding and walking safely. 👏

A few reminders from the day that are worth repeating at home:
⛑️ Wear a helmet on every ride, and buckle it.
👀 Stop, look left, right, and left again before crossing.
🚦 Cross at crosswalks and follow the signals.
🔦 Be seen: bright colors by day, lights and reflectors at night.

💙 Thank you to the students, staff, and families of Community Park School for the warm welcome, and to Greater Mercer TMA 🌿 for helping make our streets safer for our youngest residents.

ATTENTION East Trenton families! New striping and bike lanes will commence this Sunday, October 11th.

🚨 Don’t forget! If you’re planning to apply for the FY2027 Safe Routes to School Grant Program, your mandatory pre-application meeting must be scheduled by October 9!

GMTMA recently joined a school dismissal to observe how students arrive and leave school, identify opportunities to make walking and biking safer, and help communities develop actionable School Travel Plans. 🚶‍♀️🚲

With Safe Routes to School funding, communities can turn those plans into real improvements that make it safer and easier for students to walk and bike to school.
