The Class of 2030 will be learning about Princeton University traditions this month, many of which were created by students. The Class of 1858 initiated the Horn Spree — students hid on campus after dark and randomly blew horns — which later transitioned to a September tradition with a signal initiating simultaneous horn blowing. Today, the tradition continues with screams named by residential colleges such as the Holder Howl, Whitman Wail and Yeh Yodel.
