the N2RE Field Day Saturday was a great success!
80-6 so far, maybe try 2 and 432 on Sunday.
- Our GOTA station attracted one long-inactive ham to take the microphone, and collect a page of contacts
- The showers were in the early morning and then around 9PM. We had plenty of tents.
- The Lasagna was delicious
- We had an impressive number of visitors, given our rather obscure location, and that included two reporters.

Note: Hams do not dress for success at field day... if we get our picture in the paper next week, please don't judge us!!

Now on to day two!

So how do we put up antennas when surrounded by 60' trees?
It's a challenge! 100' of rope won't reach back to the ground, and getting a rock (or a drone) up that high is a challenge.
Well, we did it, mostly. Sadly the drone didn't survive, but we proved the point with it.
This could be easier if the temperature wasn't over 90F.... maybe next year.
