May 5 is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S) in the United States.

This day honors victims, supports families, and raises awareness of the disproportionately high rates of violence impacting Indigenous communities.

Often recognized as Red Dress Day, it serves as a call to action to address ongoing colonial violence, systemic inequities, and jurisdictional gaps that contribute to this crisis.

🟥 May we remember their names, stand with their families, and commit to a future where no more lives are stolen and no more voices go unheard.
