Animal Shelter Alliance of Portland (Spay & Save) The Animal Shelter Alliance of Portland is a coalition of shelters in the Portland-metro area. Spay & Save is here to help you get your pets spayed/neutered!

Spay & Save is a Portland/Vancouver metro area program that assists low-income families and families who receive public assistance, by offering low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for their pet cats. This page is run by the Spay & Save program, the low-cost spay/neuter program, at the Oregon Humane Society (one of the coalition partners). Hello Portland/Vancouver pet parents! We know it's been a while. Spay & Save is now operating out of the brand new Community Veterinary Hospital at the Oregon Humane Society. As many of you know, our program has historically offered spay/neuter services for cats only, however, we are now able to offer appointments for dogs as well.

We have a LARGE amount of appointments available for DOGS this week. It is very last minute but we are looking to fill these spots. If you or someone you know has a dog they need spayed/neutered please do the following:

Put "Dog Spay/Neuter" in the subject line
Tell us your full name, phone number, how many male or female dogs you have and their ages

Goodbye September, Hello October! 🍁🍂

Spay & Save is excited to announce that we are continuing spay/neuter procedures on cats in the Vancouver/Portland metro area 🐱 We are operating on a very limited amount of appointments and are not fully operational, as we once were prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW⬇️⬇️:

1. OUR WAITLIST IS CURRENTLY FULL ❌
** As soon as our waitlist reopens we will post another program update. You can call us anytime to check the status of our waitlist

2. All spay/neuter surgeries are performed at the Oregon Humane Society 😻🏥
** Locations that are closed for Spay & Save appointments include: the Cat Adoption Team, Humane Society for Southwest Washington, Multnomah County Animal Services, and Bonnie L. Hays Small Animal Shelter

3. We are practicing social distancing by providing curbside pick-up and drop-off. We have also started requiring payment to be made by phone in order to schedule an appointment 📲

‼️Lastly, with the looming eviction crisis ahead, we want to be there for those who needs us most. If you need urgent spay/neuter services for housing purposes please give us a call!‼️

This year has been a wild ride to say the least. Thank you all for your patience and understanding!!🐱🐱🐱
