💡關於《尋找湯德章》
從「湯德章是誰？」的疑問出發，探索這位歷史人物，並藉由其生平故事回顧1907年至1947年的台灣歷史。
💡導演的話
黃銘正：「拍攝台南城市行銷片時，總會繞到『湯德章紀念公園』，好奇湯德章是誰，深入了解他的故事，讓我重新審視台灣日治時期的歷史。」
連楨惠：「與外國朋友聊天時，發現自己不太了解台灣歷史，參與《灣生回家》後，我開始挖掘自己的家鄉故事。2018年，我們發現湯德章，決定展開這部紀錄片。」

💡 Synopsis "In Search of a Mixed Identity" explores the life of Thng Tek-chiong, born in Taiwan during Japanese colonial rule. Despite a park and road named after him in Tainan, many locals are unaware of his story. Thng, who was half-Taiwanese and half-Japanese, witnessed the injustices of colonization and spent his life searching for his identity. His story reflects the broader pursuit of Taiwanese identity and serves as a cautionary tale.
💡 Director's Statement: Thng Tek-chiong's life journey, marked by significant historical events and personal struggles, provides a profound reflection on the complexities of Taiwanese identity and history.
