Portland Jr. Raiders Portland Jr. Raiders is a nonprofit organization offering tackle football and cheerleading programs for 3rd-8th graders in Portland, MI. The Portland Jr.

Raider program, run by the Portland Tackle Football Association (PTFA), works to enhance skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship to future athletes and prepare them for High School athletics. The is a non-profit organization run by a Board of Directors and various Volunteers.

We are excited to announce a partnership with Babb Strength Athletic Development, with Jake conducting training sessions for our athletes in July. The sessions will run from Tuesday, July 7th, to Sunday, July 26th, on Sundays and Tuesdays. The training schedule is divided by grade level: 3rd to 6th-grade athletes will train from 5:00-6:00 pm, and 7th and 8th-grade athletes will train from 6:30-7:30 pm. It is essential that all athletes are picked up and dropped off at the middle school. Additionally, please be aware that parking and drop-offs at Orchard Street (near the shed) are not permitted and may result in law enforcement involvement if not adhered to. There is no additional fee for these sessions.

We are pleased to announce that GLAYF has extended an invite to all local athletes in 2nd-8th grade to join a 3-day camping experience, with a fee of $80, offering interactions with MSU football players and cheerleaders, and concluding with a flag football activity on the 3rd day.
