Four years of showing up and never waiting to be asked. These incredible women have been part of our work since the beginning. This week we made creamy chicken and rice soup with blueberry banana muffins. During our down time they jumped right in and tackled our storage space. No such thing as idle hands when they are around. That kind of faithful, generous heart is everything. We are so grateful for every single one of them.

What a wonderful week at The Soup Project!

We tried something new this week. Tomato basil bisque paired with pineapple coconut strawberry muffins. Tomorrow our homebound neighbors are in for a treat.

From the volunteers who came in the night before to set up our workstations, to the volunteers who showed up today to make it all happen… you are all our heroes.

What a week at The Soup Project! New volunteers joined our family and our community showed up with incredible generosity. Thank you to the Simon family for donating ground beef and the Squires family for beautiful fresh eggs — both of which went straight into this week’s lasagna soup and cranberry orange muffins. This is what community looks like. 💛

This week brought us a very special treat. Mrs. Droste’s Kindergarten class joined us at The Soup Project, where they created heartfelt cards for our clients and pitched in to help Backpacks for Bellies pack summer snack bags for the Food Bank summer program. It was a beautiful reminder of what community looks like at every age, and we wrapped up faster than ever!
