There are so many blessings that come with this program, and one of the best is the folks who join in our efforts to feed our community. Amazing people show up week after week, some as regulars and some as they’re able, and every single one of them makes our community brighter. This week’s menu: beef barley mushroom soup and apple cranberry fiber muffins.

Since 2022, The Soup Project has served over 42,000 meals to our neighbors right here in Portland. Forty two thousand! And we’ve cooked up more than 30 different soups along the way, from classic Chicken Noodle to Creamy Cauliflower and everything in between. Every bowl comes with a homemade muffin and cookie, made and delivered by volunteers who just keep showing up.

This is our only fundraiser of the year, and it’s how we keep those bowls coming. Our next event is coming up fast and we want YOU there. Grab a spot, bring a friend, help make this happen!

You’re invited to The Soup Project’s Annual Luncheon Fundraiser.

September 26, 11am to 1pm

Red Mill Pavilion

$10 per person

Join us for a warm meal and good company as we kick off our fifth year of neighbors helping neighbors. This is our only fundraiser of the year, and it’s what keeps the soup pots full for another twelve months.

Every week, nearly 150 people in our community receive a meal because a neighbor made it and another neighbor delivered it. It’s more than a meal. For many of the elderly and caregiving neighbors we serve, that knock on the door might be the only visitor they see all week. It’s the best of our community showing up for one another, powered entirely by volunteers.

Come for lunch. Bring a friend. Stay to hear what five years of this program has meant for Portland.

We need you! The Soup Project’s Luncheon Fundraiser is coming up on Saturday, September 26, 2026, and we’re looking for volunteers to help make the day run smoothly.

We’re asking for a couple of hours or more. Setup starts at 9:30am, lunch runs from 11 to 1, and we wrap up by 2pm. Come for a shift or stay for the whole thing.
