Our plants have been picked up and hung from the poles and planted in the planters. This year they are red, white and blue. We're anxious to see what they will look like when they start cascading down.

Thank you for your donations which help make this happen! Special thanks to Olivia Lay, The Portland Garden Club and Marcia Roeser for your dedication to watering. Thanks also go out to Cena Schneider, Julie Hughes , Roy Schneider, Doug Logel Sr., for driving to pick them up and getting them hung.

Thank you Portland Community Fund Association for your donation. As you said, we hope it never has to be used, but are thankful it is available!

The Portland Community Fund Association is proud to announce that through the generosity of our community we were able to donate an AED to the Friends of the Red Mill. It will be available at the Red Mill during many of their events. Although we hope it never needs to be used, it is comforting knowing it is available to help save a life.

That makes a total of 8 AED's that the PCFA has donated throughout our community in the last 6 months!!

They are gone, hopefully for good!!! 🙏 Portland’s hidden gem has a beautiful concrete floor once again and it couldn’t have been done without your support to our fundraising events, thank you 😊

floor is solid, smooth and a “dream location” to every young at heart “let’s lay some rubber” person. The Friends of the Red Mill volunteers have battled the endless “black bicycle tire marks” for the last few years . They have cleaned, scrubbed, scrubbed harder, polished, sealed, repeating over and over until they couldn’t no more. We thank over volunteers especially Chuck Carr for all his hours of scrubbing the floor.
It was time to call in the professionals One Coat Technologies. They scrubbed, sanded, and sanded more to get the floor back looking like the concrete floor it once was. We appreciate all your hard work yesterday. 🥰

The was built for YOU, the Portland Community, to enjoy for generations to come, for your Open House, Wedding, Bridal or Baby Shower, Reunions, Co****le, take a break and and admire the timber frame craftsmanship, Old Red Mill Farmers Market and/or one of the Friends events. Please treat and care for it as your own.

One last request, PLEASE have a talk with your bicyclist and ask them to lay their rubber elsewhere 😂🤪 as we have invested a lot of $$$ in to the floor.

Reminder to 🛑 Stay out until Monday !!!

Enjoy Mi Portland Downtown

In an effort to preserve one of Portland's historical buildings, the Red Mill is getting a much needed face lift. You may or may not have noticed that there is a considerable amount of boards that are rotting. The Mill was renovated in 1998/1999 so we guess it was to be expected. Friends of the Red Mill had gutters and down spouts installed about a year ago so that should help deter some future problems.

Friends of the Red Mill would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the community for supporting our fund raisers, sending donation checks, and continuing to donate returnable bottles/cans. It is because of your support that we are able to make renovations and improvements to the area. Thank you!
