As busy as we were running the Fall Classic yesterday, we also had 3 boxers compete in the tournament. Day 1 we went 2-1 against tough competition. Day 2 we came out 2-0 in the Finals, leaving us at 4-1 for the tournament and with 2 Fall Classic Champions. Overall we are happy with the results of this weekend, but know there is more to be done. Back to the lab to make small adjustments for big differences.

To finish off, we are very thankful for the volunteers from our team that came out to help set up, take down, assist with concessions, and everything else that goes into keeping an event like this going. This was a great way to end off the weekend, but now it’s onto the next one. Let’s go Rip City!

Thank you to everyone that came out to our 9th Annual Fall Classic this weekend. It was definitely a hectic event, but we are happy we had a huge turnout, a lot of great fights, and that the tournament was once again a huge success.

We first want to thank for being our exclusive sponsor for this years tournament. We also couldn’t have done it without our doctors and officials that devoted their weekend to helping the show move along smoothly, the people that helped set up and take down, and most importantly, all the boxers that came to compete to make this show possible. We hope everyone had a good time coming down, and we hope to see you again next year.

Coaches/Boxers - Here are the SubNovice, Novice, and Open tentative brackets a week away from our deadline to change your bracket (October 8th, 2026). To stay up to date, go to Xallenger.com to see the changes live and make adjustments for your boxers as needed. If you are unable to come, let us know ASAP or pull your team via Xallenger. If you are coming, be sure to pay the entry fee for your boxers to lock your spot if you haven’t done so already.

Coaches/Boxers - we are exactly two weeks away from our 9th Annual Fall Classic Tournament and we're still getting new registrations. Coaches, please remember that there is NO WEIGHT ALLOWANCE and your boxers must come in at weight. You can change their brackets up to 2 days before the show. Most are in brackets but there are many that are unopposed that can move up/down in weight or move up in experience level (sub to novice or novice to open). We also need payments to start coming in for those that have not paid for their registrations. You can pay directly on Xallenger (you can pay for your team or share a payment link directly to parent/relative etc.) or you can pay via VenMo or CashApp. Train hard, work hard and come ready, it's go time!

Saturday Night we had our very own David Baltazar Calderon take the next step in his boxing career by making his Pro Debut in the Welterweight Division. He not only brought home the victory, but was able to secure it via 3rd Round Stoppage against a tough opponent, much respect to him and his team.

We’re proud of the hard work, preparation, and dedication that was not just put in to Saturday, but into his entire career. We are excited to be apart of this next chapter with him and see what he does next.

We want to give a huge thanks to Matthew Phillips and Keith Weir for the opportunity to compete on their card, along with Coach Josh for assisting our corner as the cut-man. Lastly, we want to thank everyone that came out to support. We felt the love and appreciation and are happy that everyone got to enjoy the big win and great night.

Now it’s time to rest up and get back to the gym for the next one. As always, let’s go Rip City!

David Baltazar Calderon makes weight at 145.4lbs ahead of his Pro Debut tomorrow, where he will face Oscar Arriaga of Salem, OR in a Welterweight Clash at the Clackamas Armory. He is slated to be the first bout of the night so be sure to get there early and watch David work!

Coaches/Boxers - we are about three weeks away from our 9th Annual Fall Classic Tournament. We currently have 210+ boxers registered and are expecting two larger teams to send in their list that'll get us close to 250 (300 max). Many local PNW teams still haven't registered so don't miss out. This tournament always tests and humbles; we know from experience. Register at xallenger.com, contact us if you have any issues or need help getting setup. We always try to bring in the best, top notch competition and is a great learning experience for newer boxers. Attached is the fact sheet and host hotel (they have limited rooms available).

Lastly, Coaches remember there is no weight allowance in tournament. PLEASE be sure to put your boxers are in the correct bracket/weight class. Changes can be made until Oct 8th. Those that are currently unopposed, you can either change weights or start looking for match bouts if there are other unopposed boxers in a different age division (i.e. 10yr vs 11yr).
