We were deeply devastated to learn about the tragedy that happened in a special education classroom at Silver Rail Elementary yesterday.

Our hearts are with the Bend and Silver Rail Elementary communities as they grapple with the horror of losing children and teachers to gun violence.

There is almost no way to make sense of these awful events, but here are some resources helping us care for the kids in our lives right now.

When Bella set her goals this summer, she drew them! One of her goal was practicing aerial swing flips. She worked on them all summer, and we’re so proud of how she stuck with it! When she reflected on her goal, she wrote, “It has been fun but challenging because it was not as easy as I thought.”

In our Summer Goal Setting program, kids can adapt the process to fit how they learn. Bella, who has dyslexia, found what works best for her!

Bella is building goal setting skills now, and she’ll carry them for life ⭐
