WINNER- Best Float at the 2026 Junior Rose Festival Parade🎈

Fleet of decorated boat floats celebrating Philippine maritime heritage🛶

FAAPVI’s 2026 parade entry showcases “Karakol sa Bayan,” inspired by the traditional Filipino Karakol, a vibrant celebration that began more than a century ago in Cavite. The Karakol features lively group dancing, colorful costumes, and strong community participation.

In many coastal regions, the tradition continues on decorated boats, honoring the Philippines’ maritime heritage.

The float represents these historic Karakol boats and celebrates unity, shared identity, and Filipino cultural pride.

Participants include children, teens, and young adults from FAAPVI’s youth and cultural programs.

Huge thanks to Committee Chair, Amapola Manlapaz Montgomery, and her Team🙏🏻😍
