Recently, our Parenting Inside Out (PIO) training team conducted a training session for a cohort of 60 counseling staff at Rikers Island, in collaboration with the New York City Department of Corrections. PIO will be implemented across the department.

A participant shared after the training: "The feedback we have received from staff has been overwhelmingly positive. Participants found the training to be engaging and informative. Your expertise, professionalism, and ability to effectively deliver the material were greatly appreciated, and contributed to a valuable learning experience for everyone involved."

We created the Impacts of Incarceration Video Library to offer education and support for anyone impacted by incarceration. This channel aims to inform, empower, and create meaningful change by sharing the stories, wisdom, and resilience of justice-system impacted individuals. Please check it out!

See Us, Support Us (SUSU) creates a community for and raises awareness about the 1 in 14 children who experience parental incarceration. October is SUSU month, and this year SUSU focuses on ensuring children have access to their incarcerated parents. Having access to an incarcerated parent supports healing and wellbeing, but limited visiting hours, pricey phone calls, and other barriers make it difficult for children to build and maintain relationships with an incarcerated parent.
