Make-A-Wish Oregon Together, we create life-changing wish experiences for children battling critical illnesses. When you donate, you can help bring a child's imagination to life.

Our mission is to create life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses. We are on a quest to grant the wish of every eligible child living in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Since it was established in 1983, The Oregon Chapter of Make-A-Wish has granted more than 4,400 wishes to local children in our community. Research shows a wish can give kids the strength to fight against and even overcome a critical illness. A wish renews hope, uplifts spirits, and encourages the belief in the impossible. A wish forever transforms the lives of children, their families, and entire communities. It's through the strength of our great community that Make-A-Wish can continue granting wishes. For Corbett, the greatest challenge wasn't understanding others. It was helping others understand him.

Because Corbett is non-speaking, he struggled to communicate with friends and family and often felt misunderstood. When asked what he wished for most, his answer was simple: he wanted the people he loved to understand him.

To grant his wish, “Camp Corbett” was created to help family and friends learn how to communicate with him using assistive technology and his unique communication style.

"I felt loved because my friends and family learned to talk with me."

Wish kid Max went on a dream trip to Italy which was filled with delicious food, beautiful scenery, and a whole lot of horsepower. 🏎️

His wish trip was packed with incredible experiences, from enjoying authentic Italian cuisine and taking in stunning views to exploring the charming canals and historic streets of Venice. The highlight was a private Italian Motor Factory tour, where Max stepped into the world of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Paganis. For a car enthusiast like Max, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Wish kid Gabriel caught ’em all during his wish trip to the Pokémon Fossil Museum in Chicago. ⚡🦕

His love of Pokémon led to an unforgettable day at the Field Museum, where he explored the exhibits, met paleontologists, and learned how fossils are uncovered and identified.

“Gabriel got the opportunity for a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” shared his mom. “We are deeply moved by how hard everyone worked to make Gabriel’s wish come true.”

The memories made and the kindness they experienced along the way are things Gabriel and his family will never forget. 💙

Fall is in the air, and so is the magic! 🍂✨

We had a great time at our Fall Festival over the weekend. The wish community enjoyed trunk-or-treating, apple tasting, pumpkin decorating, coffee and cocoa, crafts, games, and plenty of opportunities to connect while soaking up a beautiful autumn day.

For his wish trip, Legend headed to Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood and stepped straight into the world of his favorite character, Mario.
