Our mission is to create life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses. We are on a quest to grant the wish of every eligible child living in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Since it was established in 1983, The Oregon Chapter of Make-A-Wish has granted more than 4,400 wishes to local children in our community. Research shows a wish can give kids the strength to fight against and

even overcome a critical illness. A wish renews hope, uplifts spirits, and encourages the belief in the impossible. A wish forever transforms the lives of children, their families, and entire communities. It's through the strength of our great community that Make-A-Wish can continue granting wishes. 💚💛WISH GRANTED!💛💚

From pre-game warms-ups to cheering fans filling the seats of Autzen Stadium , Kyle’s wish to meet Head Coach Dan Lanning and attend the University of Oregon Spring Football Game was a weekend he will never forget.

“I haven’t seen him smile so much in a long time,” said Kyle’s mom.

Kyle’s wish weekend included a tour of the football facility, meeting the team, and attending the spring game where he collected the kickoff tee alongside his brother. “Happy,” said Kyle throughout the weekend.💙✨

He even had a special reunion with former running back Kenjon Barner - after first meeting him back in 2011. (Check out pic 4 to see!)

We were thrilled to work with Kyle’s home chapter at Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington for this wish and are grateful for the incredible team at Oregon Football for making Kyle’s wish come true!

This week marks the 20th anniversary of a wish that’s touched millions.

Two decades ago, an Oregon 12-year-old named Katie charged into the national spotlight. ⚾🎥 With ESPN cameras rolling, she led her little league team onto center field to meet the stars of the Seattle Mariners.

“My sister got a chance to shine,” said Jamie, Katie’s sister. ✨ “She loved being the center of attention and it was all about her that day. She STRUTTED around that ballpark.”

Amid an unimaginable fight with a rare brain cancer, Katie’s wish allowed her to be carefree with the people she loved the most. Since that day, Katie’s story has inspired countless others to join the Make-A-Wish mission - including her sister Jamie. As a Senior Wish Manager at Make-A-Wish Oregon, Jamie has been the catalyst for more than 540 local wishes.

“I would like to think that I have made my sister proud. I consider my work here as part of her legacy. She still inspires me to courageously love and give in the way that she did every day.” 💙

Wish Kid Sammy helped make a splash at Stayton High School and remind students how powerful the magic of a wish can be. 💫

We are grateful to the entire Stayton High School community for raising awareness and crucial funds to make life-changing wishes, like Sammy’s, possible. Plus - letting Sammy join the fun and help dump water on a teacher as part of a fundraising challenge! 😜

What started as a drawing of Mickey Mouse became a magical adventure for Wish Kid Preston!💫

From meeting Mickey in person to experiencing the wonder of Walt Disney World alongside his family, this trip was the perfect reminder that dreams really can come true.

“He will look back on this and remember it forever,” said Preston’s mom.

Seeing his imagination come to life meant everything to Preston’s family. Supporters like you help turn dreams into memories that last a lifetime. 💙

Magic alert! 🚨💫💙

You can see David’s excitement jumping right out of his photos as he headed to Walt Disney World to meet Mickey Mouse! He loved it so much, he visited Mickey 3 times during the trip!

“He got to be a kid and just have fun without worrying about medical appointments and treatments,” said his mom, “after having a few rough years emotionally and physically, seeing all the smiles and excitement in David's face was truly amazing!”

Together with Fanatics, we’re celebrating a major milestone of 1,000 wishes granted for children with critical illnesses across the country.

As the official sports partner of Make-A-Wish America, Fanatics helps bring unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime sports experiences to wish kids, creating joy, hope, and lasting memories when it’s needed most.

In Oregon, Fanatics helped make Adoniah’s wish to meet Blue, the Indiana Colts mascot come true. We want to also thank local Fanatics volunteers for recently spending time at our Make-A-Wish Oregon office and tackling a few projects with us!

The energy was high and hearts were full at Sprague High School, where this community showed up big. 🙌

This year's assembly brought all the feels as Wish Ambassador Oaklyn led the prom court to the stage, which included Wish Alum Kirra. (Pictured right in 1st photo!) 👑 Kirra’s wish to visit Disneyland came true 14 years ago and she’s now among the group at Sprague raising funds for future local wishes.

Through their support of Make-A-Wish Oregon, these students are helping create moments of happiness and hope for children battling critical illnesses. 💙💫

Derek’s wish to meet Lightening McQueen in Disneyland brought him nothing but pure joy!

“He smiled more than I’ve ever seen. He was so happy and loved meeting different characters,” said Derek’s mom. “This meant so much to our family! It was truly magical to experience Disneyland Resort all together.”
