Our mission is to create life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses. We are on a quest to grant the wish of every eligible child living in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Since it was established in 1983, The Oregon Chapter of Make-A-Wish has granted more than 4,400 wishes to local children in our community. Research shows a wish can give kids the strength to fight against and

even overcome a critical illness. A wish renews hope, uplifts spirits, and encourages the belief in the impossible. A wish forever transforms the lives of children, their families, and entire communities. It's through the strength of our great community that Make-A-Wish can continue granting wishes. A huge thank you to Alaska Airlines for going the extra mile to make David’s first flight a magical experience. This flight included all the fun perks - model planes, trading cards, extra snacks, and “magic smoke”!

When the plane landed in Orlando, gate agents announced there was a special kid on the flight and escorted the family to baggage claim. “Alaska Airlines will always have a special place in our hearts, and made his first ever flight extra special,” said David’s mom.

“Ever since I was little, this has been a dream of mine to eventually get this bike,” said wish kid Wesley. Now that his wish has been granted, every ride means new adventures and unforgettable memories made along the way.
