We reduce hunger and improve the lives of low-income residents in Northwest and Downtown Portland. We have a food pantry, a food box delivery program, and other programs to assist low-income, elderly, and disabled neighbors.

Portland's backyard fruit trees are feeding our neighbors — and we're proud to be part of making that happen.

KOIN 6 News featured our partners at Portland Fruit Tree Project alongside our Grow to Donate program, highlighting how volunteers are harvesting surplus cherries, pears, and plums and getting them to people who need them most.

As our Executive Director Stephanie Barr shared in the story: federal food cuts have hit fresh produce hardest — and it's Portland's community that's stepping up.

One neighbor's fruit tree really can help bolster our neighbors' food supply.
