This hungry beaver was spotted in the watershed by JCWC volunteer, David Pickar.

How to tell the difference between a nutria and beaver when you can't see their tail:
1. Nutria have white whiskers
2. Beavers are larger than nutria
3. A beaver will probably not be out during the day. Beavers are largely crepuscular - most active at dawn and dusk - but there are always exceptions.

Nature inspires and at this year’s Annual Celebration it also gives back.

We are excited to share that this year’s Silent Auction will feature a curated collection of nature inspired works donated by talented local artists. Each piece reflects the beauty of our natural world and the spirit of the Johnson Creek Watershed and every bid directly supports restoration, stewardship and community connection.

From paintings and prints to handcrafted pieces this year’s collection invites you to take home something meaningful while making a lasting impact.

When: Thursday May 28 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Where: Kaul Auditorium Reed College campus
