🌿 Cleanup + nature walk = the perfect Saturday morning.

Join SOLVE and Oregon Master Naturalist Rebecca Lexa, Naturalist this Saturday, June 6, at Lower Macleay Trail for a cleanup with a twist. We'll start by removing litter from this beloved natural area, then head out on a guided nature walk to discover the plants, birds, and wildlife that call Portland home.

🦉🌱 Come help care for Portland's backyard and see it through a naturalist's eyes.

Meet Eco the Otter 🦦💚

On , we’re excited to officially introduce SOLVE’s new mascot!

What started as a community call turned into 70+ creative mascot submissions inspired by the Pacific Northwest, healthy waterways, and community action. Today, we’re sharing the story behind Eco, why we chose an otter, and what this new character represents for SOLVE moving forward.

The 2026 Waterway Cleanup Series is off to a strong start! 🌊

This week, 22 volunteers kicked off the season at Meldrum Bar Park and Dahl Beach, removing more than 250 lbs of litter from our local waterways. It was the usual suspects of plastic packaging and cigarette butts, but we also found 2 tires, a shopping cart, and a pair of boots. 🛒👢

This annual series in partnership with Clackamas County, Oregon Water Environment Service runs May through September, bringing communities together to protect Oregon’s rivers, streams, and natural spaces all summer long.

We’re just getting started. Get involved, we'd love to see you at the next cleanup! 💪
