Peace, safety, kindness, and community come to life in George's stunning new art piece! 🕊️🎨✨
For their Bat Mitzvah project, George brought this global movement, which was originally started in 2023 by a member of a Kibbutz in Israel to honor family members who lost their lives, right here to our lobby during Day for the J. George shared that the inspiration came straight from their Torah portion and the JCC itself, noting, "The J is like my second home. It is a place of community, safety, love and family." After collecting and sorting old, broken toys donated by our community, George led a massive group effort to construct the vibrant wing sculpture, hoping it stands as a beautiful symbol of "peace and safety, kindness and community" for everyone who walks through our doors. The finished masterpiece is now hanging proudly in the MJCC downstairs, to the right of the elevator, for all our members to enjoy. Please stop by to experience George's beautiful gift to our community!
