Meadowlark Place is going up, and we couldn't be more excited to watch the progress! πŸ—οΈ

This 104-unit senior community is so essential, as seniors are among the most vulnerable populations facing rising rates of homelessness. Meadowlark Place will offer CPAH's Thrive in Place program, connecting residents to their community and supporting them through physical, mental, and health-related needs.

Residents will enjoy outdoor spaces on both the ground level and 2nd floor amenity deck, plus it's a prime location right across the street from the Beaverton City Library. We're especially excited about the Head Start facility, provided by Community Action, which will give residents wonderful opportunities to connect with the younger generation.

Stay tuned as we watch this community come to life! 🌻

33 years ago, we started this work because we believed everyone deserves a place to call home. That belief hasn't changed, even as local housing costs have climbed faster than local incomes. Even the nurses who staff our hospitals, the bus drivers who get us to work, and the grocery store clerks who keep shelves stocked are being priced out of the neighborhoods they serve.

Today, over 1,000 residents across the Portland Metro area call CPAH communities home, and you their neighbors. We help retired teachers from your school district keep a roof over their heads. We provide youth programming for your kids' classmates who don't have the same opportunities.

We have the solutions. Now we need to keep building and investing. Right now, we have 250 homes under construction, so that by 2028, over 250 more friends, teachers, and neighbors in your community will have a place to call home.

This is a reason to keep going. 🏑

πŸ’™ Thanks to an outpouring of community generosity, CPAH's first Comfort and Care Cabinet Drive was a success! Youth living at CPAH's six family-focused properties now have all the essential items they need to feel great and stay healthy!

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who donated through our Amazon wishlist or gave through our appeal β€” your support made this possible.

A special shout-out to our building partners Colas Construction, LMC Construction, and Walsh Construction. Each company sponsored a property, and their employees personally donated everything needed to fully stock a cabinet!

We're also so grateful for the incredible in-kind contributions from:
🌟 The 2025–26 Class of Leadership Tigard Tigard Chamber of Commerce
🌟 Members of the THPRD Elsie Stuhr Center
🌟 Members of the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce

Our services staff have since installed all six cabinets and introduced residents to the items now available to them. One property has already emptied and re-stocked its cabinet β€” proof of just how needed this resource is. ✨

Thank you to everyone who made this drive possible. Together, we're helping CPAH families feel supported, cared for, and at home. 🏠

Oregon's housing crisis wasn't created overnight, and it won't be solved overnight. For decades, housing costs have outpaced wages while the affordable homes our communities needed simply weren't built.

That's why building affordable housing matters.

At CPAH, we're helping close that gap by creating more homes where they're needed most. In three years, we have added 275 new affordable homes across the Portland metropolitan region!

Every new home represents stability for an individual exiting homelessness, a family, or a senior. It's meaningful progress, but it's not enough. We need public commitment to build more housing at the scale this crisis demands.

Together, we're Building the Way Home.
