Christian Community Response Team - CCRT Our nonprofit, formerly known as Catholic Community Response Team, is now Christian Community Response Team!

This new name reflects the broader Christian support behind our mission to provide emergency housing and essential assistance to those in need. CCRT was founded in 2004 to provide direct support and referral services for those in crisis needing emergency assistance to meet their basic needs living in the City of Pontiac. We also work to build a permanent bridge between 2 populations who live in cl

ose proximity, but whose life experiences are worlds apart: those in crisis with urgent, unmet needs (primarily in the Pontiac area), and volunteers wanting to live out their faith through the works of charity and justice. MISSION- Provide a Christian compassionate response to those in need primarily within, but not limited to, the City of Pontiac. Provide intake services & assessments based on client needs to build relationships in order to overcome small hurdles which hinder self-sustainability. Coordinate our efforts with other community agencies and providers to make the best use of available resources and to provide appropriate referrals to broaden the scope of our response.

Thank you, Pontiac Promise Zone for inviting us to be part of the 1st Annual Community Event & Resource Fair! Today, Saturday, August 29, from 12:00 PM–4:00 PM at Beaudette Park (Mill Dam) in Pontiac!

Pontiac friends, find our table and say hello! We will be giving away new backpacks, school supplies, and more while supplies last!

💙💛 Day Three, Four & Five — Today Was Our Final Day! 💙💛

Today marked the last day of the Back-to-School Uniform & Backpack Pop-Up Shop at CCRT!

What a wonderful and busy week we had helping our CCRT families get ready for the new school year! We are so happy to share that we helped 135 children with new backpacks and new uniforms!

There were so many happy smiles from both the children and their parents as they filled their new backpacks with two sets of new uniforms, helping their child begin the school year feeling excited!

Although CCRT Uniform & Backpack Pop-Up Shop is now closed, we will continue helping parents prepare for the school year through our CCRT office appointments in September. We are also giving school uniforms and backpacks to three Pontiac school counselors so they can continue helping students in need.

We wish all students a safe and wonderful year of learning!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the generous donors, churches, volunteers at the Pop-up shop, behind the scenes sorting and shopping, and everyone else who helped make this program possible. Because of your kindness and generosity, so many children will begin the school year excited and ready to learn!💙💛

Day Two of the BTS Uniform & Backpack Pop-Up Shop at CCRT!💙💛

We had another wonderful day helping our CCRT families get ready for the new school year! There were so many happy smiles from our shoppers as they filled their children’s backpacks with two sets of new uniforms for each child to start the school year!

We also took time to celebrate our amazing intern, Jasmine, and say our farewells as she has officially completed her internship! We will truly miss her and are sending her all our love and best wishes as she continues working toward her dream of becoming a judge.

We all agree at CCRT that you were one of the hardest-working interns we have ever had. Your dedication, work ethic, and willingness to jump in and help wherever needed did not go unnoticed. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all that you accomplish!

We have already had some very happy students leaving our shop today with their new school uniforms and backpacks! Families, make sure to bring your ticket and get ready for a new school year!

A huge THANK YOU to the churches and everyone who donated to make our Back-to-School Uniform & Backpack Program possible! By September 8th, we will be helping over 350+ children with school uniforms through our Pop-Up Shop, the community event on Saturday, and to many Pontiac school counselors.
