The Detroit Metro Times picked up our story of the Louder Than Love: The Grande Ballroom Story and Gary Grimshaw Poster Exhibit! The Pontiac Creative Arts Center is organizing the film screening Oct 10, (Louder than Love: the Grande Ballroom Story) and director Q&A as well as an artist talk on Oct 17 with Laura Grimshaw talking about the life of the late Gary Grimshaw. Thank you John Sauve, Mike McGuinness, Tony D’Annunzio and especially Laura Grimshaw!

Gary Grimshaw’s first professional poster, created for the Grande Ballroom’s 1966 opening, is getting a 60th-anniversary celebration with music, film, and art.

2026 marks three years of partnering with Bound Together.

The Pontiac Creative Arts Center is still calling for submissions for our annual exhibit Kaleidoscope: A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Artists and Designers!

If you are a q***r creative, we invite you to submit artwork/design work! It is completely free to submit and there is no limit on the number of allowed entries (please submit one form per piece). Your artwork does not need to be LGBTQ+ themed; our goal every year is to recognize LGBTQ+ creatives. We accept 2D and 3D works.
