Tech25’s Stagehand Basics program is where careers in live events begin. Students get hands-on experience setting up and tearing down events, managing cables, connecting audio and video equipment, using professional gear, and learning the teamwork skills that keep productions running smoothly. No experience required—just a willingness to learn and get your hands dirty. This is the first step into the world of audio, lighting, video, music production, and live entertainment technology.

Learn the fundamentals of live sound with Audio Basics. This 4-week, hands-on course introduces signal flow, PA system setup, and the core tools used in live audio for small events. Designed for any skill level, this class provides practical experience alongside industry professionals and builds a strong foundation for advanced training.

Today we hosted students from the L.A.U.N.C.H. program for a tour of our space at Tech25! They got hands-on with Ableton, Ableton Push 3s, CDJs, and our lighting systems. The kids loved every minute of it, and one student put it best: “this is so different from other tours I’ve gone on, this is so hands on.”

Moments like this are exactly why we do what we do!
