Over the past few weeks, the Allentown CDC has been hard at work transforming the community garden space — creating new flower beds, edging, weeding, mulching, and bringing new life back to a lot that many people had long forgotten about.
This transformation is a true reflection of what the CDC stands for: bringing neighbors together, creating welcoming spaces, and investing in projects that make Allentown stronger, greener, and more connected.
The dedication, vision, and hands-on effort behind these improvements have already made a visible impact, and it’s inspiring to see so many people supporting the mission and helping bring these ideas to life.
And this is only the beginning.
Next up:🌱 Outdoor furniture and gathering spaces🌱 A free community food box where neighbors can leave or take non-perishable food items🌱 Raised garden planters for community gardening🌱 Fundraising efforts for a future watershed project in the back corner of the lot
The Allentown CDC continues to show how meaningful community improvement happens — through collaboration, care, and a genuine commitment to making the neighborhood a better place for everyone.
At the end of the day, the progress happening in this space is a reflection of the passion and dedication being poured into the community every single day.
We’re proud of what’s been accomplished so far — and even more excited for what’s ahead. Thank you to everyone who continues to support the vision for a greener, cleaner, and stronger Allentown. 💚
