September 30th is Orange Shirt Day.

We remember the children who were taken from their families and forced into residential and boarding schools. We honor the Survivors who carried those experiences throughout their lives, and we remember the children who never returned home.

The empty shirt, the shoes left behind, and the footprints that suddenly end represent lives, languages, families, and futures that mattered.

Every child mattered then. Every child matters now.

We remember them and we honor them.
