Tonight our Scouts were preparing games for our AOL visits. And they were practicing one of the games too. Great team building and communication.

This weekend our Den Chiefs went for the day to help with the activities and use the Edge Method to teach the cubs in Pack 262 knots and Lashings. And got to blast off water bottle rockets, which is always a fun time!! And took them on a hike. We can’t be any more proud of our scouts, stepping up as leaders.

This troop is working hard selling popcorn 🍿 to fund all of their scouting Adventures this year. They have set the bar high in their goals. If you see a scout please support them they are our future leaders. You are supporting an Amazing program that teaches our scouts lifelong skills.

🧟‍♂️ Zombies vs. Preparedness: Are You Ready? 🎃

October isn't just about pumpkin spice and spooky stories—it’s also Zombie Preparedness Month!

While we don't expect a real zombie apocalypse, the skills needed to survive one are the exact same ones Scouts learn every day:

🔥 First Aid & Emergency Response: Knowing how to treat injuries, call for help, and stay calm in a crisis.

🧭 Navigation & Wilderness Survival: Map and compass skills to find safety when the GPS goes down.

🎒 Emergency Preparedness: Packing a 72-hour kit ("Go-Bag") with essentials like shelter, water filtration, and non-perishable food.

🤝 Teamwork & Leadership: Working together so nobody gets left behind!

Whether it's a winter storm, power outage, or an unexpected zombie swarm, Scouting prepares young people for whatever comes their way.
