The first residential development at Hazelwood Green, being developed in partnership with TREK Development, is part of a new 125-unit apartment complex right across the street from Woodlawn Park with views of the former mill building.

A unique partnership with Pittsburgh Scholar House - a nonprofit focused on helping single parents working their way through college - will allow eligible residents to access an array of services in the building.

Designed by PWWG Architects, the buildings along Lytle and Blair Streets will include community rooms, fitness rooms, and ample bike storage.

Pre-leasing for December 2026 occupancy of the Lytle Street building is now open.

Jubilee on the Green: AWC Community Day Activity Spotlight: Squonk’s Giant Purple Hands!

Join us on October 3rd from 12-4pm at Hazelwood Green.

About: The Squonkers and fans come together with TWO GIANT PURPLE HANDS, each the size of a house and rigged like a sailing ship! Together we pull the rigging, each individual powering a larger movement of giant fingers, a web of connections, and a single dance. We invite shared discovery, people face to face, celebrating together, and creating a community of the imagination. Hand to Hand.

While the full production concluded in 2023, the giant purple hands continue to delight audiences at festivals, celebrations, and special events. Accompanied by a Squonk artist crew, they become an interactive public artwork that invites people of all ages to gather, play, and share a moment of wonder.
