Wow.... how is it May already!?!?!
Well that means we are only 4 short weeks away from the start of Calhoun Park!! We are working hard on this years Calendar and it should be finished soon.
Here is a little info about our Program:
*Our first day will be June 1st and the program runs for 7 weeks.
*We ask that everyone signs a Waiver and provides contact Info so we may get in touch with you. (This is a come and go program so the children can leave at any time and we may need to get in touch with you.)
*We do a Field Trip once a week and these are paid for by the families and Do need to be signed up for. We hold these sign-ups in the beginning of the week. FYI, we only take 1 bus so we cap these trips at around 50 kids.
*Our hours are 9am - 2pm, that is when the Councilor's and Adults will be there to watch and play with the kids. The Councilor's are High School age young adults.
*We do NOT provide lunch unless documented on the calendar so it is encouraged to pack the kids lunch/snacks for the day. Also, the kids should bring a refillable water bottle, as we do not provide bottled water we do a have a refill station for the kids to fill up at.
*We do have daily activities for the kids... board games, chalk, wiffle ball, sprinklers, basketball, coloring, etc.... We do understand that the kids love to bring their own items to play with and share. We are fine with that, we just ask that names are placed on these items so it is returned with the correct owner. Also, if it is breakable .... like and electronic device, we ask that those stay home. We sit at picnic tables with asphalt...might now end nice for the device.
Hopefully that answers some of the questions...but if you have more please let us know. Chief, Ms. Carmella & Ms. Ashley are ready for a fun summer.... as well as Abby, Evan, Robert, Landon, Tommi, Conner and Niko.
