Night Market season has come to a close, and we can’t thank you all enough 🩵

As our community, you showed up — and you danced, you ate, you shopped, you laughed, you strolled! Every single minute of our Night Markets was a joy, so thank you so much for sharing it with us.

🚨 Looking for a chance to get your car towed this weekend? We’ve got you! 🚨

Squirrel Hill has a BIG weekend ahead, with the Squirrel Hill Night Market on Saturday followed by the Great Race on Sunday. And with all that activity comes plenty of road closures, parking restrictions and, yes, towing enforcement. 😬

So unless an impromptu trip to the impound lot is part of your weekend plans, keep an eye out for temporary NO PARKING signs throughout the neighborhood and move your car before the posted deadlines. 👀🚗

🌙 SATURDAY, SEPT. 26: Squirrel Hill Night Market
Murray Avenue closes between Forbes and Beacon. Vehicles must be removed by 2 PM.

🏃 SUNDAY, SEPT. 27: Great Race
Road closures and parking restrictions will impact Forbes Avenue and surrounding streets beginning in the morning.

Fall has officially arrived in Squirrel Hill, and our sidewalk planters have a fresh new look for the season!

Did you know our husband team, Jamison and Joshua, affectionately known around the neighborhood as “The Garden Gays,” put a lot of time and care into keeping our sidewalk planters looking their best? From choosing the plants to getting their hands dirty planting them, it’s truly a labor of love.

This fall’s plants once again come from our friends at Brenckle’s Greenhouse, located at 3815 Mt. Troy Road in Pittsburgh.

🌼 Milkshake Banana Yellow Mums are the star of this year’s planters. These late-season garden mums open gradually, giving us beautiful color and blooms that should carry well into late October.
🥬 Ornamental cabbages add texture and color as the temperatures cool.
🌸 Elegance Antoinette Collection ruffled pansies finish everything off with their beautiful, delicate blooms.

A huge thank you to Brenckle’s Greenhouse for their continued support and for helping us bring a little more color to the sidewalks of Squirrel Hill. We’re grateful to have wonderful local partners who help us keep the business district looking welcoming throughout the seasons.

Keep an eye out for the planters as you’re walking along Forbes, Murray and Forward Avenue and enjoy a little bit of fall in Squirrel Hill! 🍁

Personally, some highlights included dancing to Veverke , munching on pad thai from Silk Elephant and pepperoni rolls from Aiello’s Pizza , and picking up a gift for a friend from Under One Sun !
