We turned up the music at the Sally and Howard Levin Clubhouse last week for a karaoke night! 🎶

We sang our hearts out and enjoyed listening to the musical talents of our colleagues.

The Sally and Howard Levin Clubhouse colleagues visited the Kamin Science Center for a Sunday Funday!

We ventured along the Riverwalk to visit the historic USS Requin Submarine and explored Pittsburgh's past through the Miniature Railroad and Village. We also learned more about human anatomy and plants and animals native to Pennsylvania.

As we continued our visit, we got a glimpse of the newest exhibit, Science of Speed, and put Bill in the hockey penalty box on the Sports360 floor.

We enjoyed lunch and then left with our sights on the future after visiting the exhibits, Space Place and Mars: The Next Giant Leap!

July was a month full of new Clubhouse experiences that created lasting memories!

Delaine started the month with a personal testimony about what it means to be a Clubhouse Colleague. HICO America, an electrical equipment supplier, visited our amazing Clubhouse and participated in our work ordered day. As the month went on, we went bowling at Bowlero and enjoyed each other's company for a friendly social experience.

We're excited for all of the fun events we have in store for August!

Bowling with the Sally and Howard Levin Clubhouse family is always a great time!

Sunday Funday is a social event we do twice a month, and bowling is our favorite. Bowlero always welcomes us with open arms and provides us with food, fun and games!

We had a friendly bowling competition and enjoyed playing the arcade games. Everyone encouraged each other and had fun. This bowling event created fun fellowship, friendships, and bonding as we learned more about each other through a meaningful event.

We love welcoming guests to our Clubhouse! 🧡

Last week, HICO America visited the Sally and Howard Levin Clubhouse and spent time getting to know our amazing members. Their team toured our garden, helped prepare lunch, and got a firsthand look at the meaningful work and sense of community that makes our Clubhouse so special.

We’re grateful for HICO America’s support and for taking the time to learn more about our mission. Thank you for spending the day with us!

Recovery from mental illness, becoming whole again, wellness in general...depends on believing in your own self-worth.

Being a Clubhouse colleague means being unconditionally accepted into a community where one is wanted, needed, and valued as an equal human being.

In the Clubhouse, colleagues thrive when they realize that they are valued as equals and that their contributions are wanted and needed.

Colleagues gain a sense of purpose and belonging as they utilize their strengths and skills to help their Clubhouse community grow.

In the Sally and Howard Levin Clubhouse, recovery happens!

The annual Pennsylvania Clubhouse Coalition - PCC conference was held in State College, PA from June 15th to June 18th. Connor, Keely, Bill, and Delaine attended as the representatives of the Sally and Howard Pennsylvania Clubhouse.

Bill was really impacted by the speaker who talked about the importance of using your voice. Delaine learned ways to incorporate artificial intelligence into the Work Ordered Day and how to build consensus among members of different generations. Conner realized the importance of networking among other Clubhouses and learned about how to strengthen the structure of the Work Ordered Day.

Keely really enjoyed the camaraderie of the entire Pennsylvania Clubhouse community and benefitted from touring the Opportunity Centre Clubhouse so she could see how they did things.
