Another day another action!
Baristas and allies rallied outside of the Eastside Starbucks location demanding the company bargain in good faith about the effects of its closure. This location will be closing July 31st and the company still refuses to bargain in good faith and secure transfers and severance for worker.
Eastside, Northbound McKnight (our newest union store in Pittsburgh!) and Bloomfield all walked out on ULP strike in protest!

Calling all allies! Join us tomorrow at the Eastside Starbucks location for an emergency rally and speak out put on by the baristas of this location. Starbucks has announced the closure of the Eastside location on July 31st and has refused to bargaing in good faith over the effects of this closure. Baristas have organized and delivered a petition demanding the company codify transfers and hours into an effects bargaining agreement, with signatures of over 100 baristas at over 20 stores.

Workers at the Northbound McKnight Starbucks voted 16-3 in favor of their union yesterday! After a hard-fought campaign ripe with union busting workers continue to show Starbucks just who runs their shops!

Today, partners at the unionized Bloomfield Starbucks stood in solidarity with the workers and residents of Minnesota as ICE continues its occupation. We demand Starbucks to change their policies so workers can effectively protect their coworkers, customers and community members.
