Same job. Same skill. Same paycheck. Brother OR Sister. That's what the 1963 Equal Pay Act is supposed to guarantee, and what we're still fighting to make real on every jobsite.

Safety isn't just a priority, it's a responsibility. 👷‍♂️👊

We were proud to be represented at the Keystone Contractors Association event in Harrisburg, where Local 1174 Business Manager, Mike Knecht, helped present the Safety Award to John Panzitta of Panzitta Enterprises.

Recognition like this reflects the commitment it takes to build projects the right way. Protecting workers, maintaining high standards, and making safety part of the culture every day.

Congratulations to John Panzitta and the entire team at Panzitta Enterprises on this well-deserved honor.

We're proud to share this message from our brothers and sisters at Local 158. 💙🧡

The Pennsylvania Laborers' District Council and LIUNA Mid-Atlantic Region were proud to support Local 158, Local 1058, and Local 1174 as LIUNA fielded a team in the Armed Forces Cycling Classic Corporate Challenge in Washington, D.C.

The ride, organized by Local 158, honored the memory of LIUNA staff member Lisa Martin, who tragically lost her life while riding her bicycle last year, while also raising money for Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), a nonprofit that provides compassionate care and resources to those grieving the loss of a military member or veteran.

Local 158 would like to thank Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager Philip Ameris, PALDC President and Business Manager Joe LaQuatra, Local 1058 Business Manager Philip Ameris JR, Local 1174 Business Manager Mike Knecht, and all of the riders who made the trip to Washington, D.C. to support this important cause.

Lisa's memory lives on, and the LIUNA family will continue to show up in her honor while helping raise awareness about the importance of cyclist safety.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is a reminder that freedom is never free. The courage, service, and sacrifice of our fallen heroes allowed us to live, work, and build a better future for the next generation.

At the Pennsylvania Laborers’ District Council, we are forever grateful to those who gave their lives in defense of our nation. We remember their sacrifice, honor their legacy, and keep their families in our thoughts today and every day.
