🏒 Small businesses, this one’s worth checking out!

The F.N.B. Small Business Development Camp, presented by F.N.B and the Pittsburgh Penguins, is back for 2026, and applications are open through October 2.

Five Pennsylvania small businesses will be selected for a six-week development program featuring workshops, speakers, and hands-on guidance from F.N.B., Penguins executives, and the Riverside Center for Innovation. Topics include marketing, pricing, financial resources, team building, attracting investors, and preparing a business pitch.

And there’s some pretty great local proof of what the program can offer: Heirs Barber and Social Shop, an Invest PGH borrower, took second place in the 2025 program and received a $15,000 grant.

The top three finalists will compete for a share of $50,000 in grants, with participating businesses also receiving opportunities for marketing exposure through the Penguins.

Eligible businesses must have been operating for at least two years, have less than $1 million in annual gross revenue, have no more than 20 full-time employees, and be based in Pennsylvania.

We were overjoyed to stand alongside our coworkers and friends at the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh yesterday morning. As several folks said, it truly was an all-hands situation, and seeing all that hard work finally come to fruition was a great reminder of how our work positively impacts our neighbors and communities.

Penn Avenue is having a ✨moment.✨
