This space provides programming and volunteer opportunities geared to supporting our trans communities to thrive within the communities they live within. This is also a safe, brave space for trans folks to hang out during our open hours to find respite from homelessness and/or find other trans people to build unity and community with. SisTers PGH Staff as a majority are trans/nonbinary and here to provide safe and supportive services that meet the needs of all of those trans folks that visit our center. Programming:
Project T
Project T is Trans-led, meaning the project's leadership is intimately familiar with the specific barriers faced by the trans community. This includes the high rates of abuse, assault, misgendering, and a general misunderstanding of the QTBIPOC experience that is typical at traditional shelters and temporary housing providers. Paired with the extremely high rates of homelessness, housing insecurity, and unemployment that QTBIPOC people face due to social discrimination, Project T is essential. Project T provides safe and affordable housing for the QTBIPOC community of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. More so, Project T helps individuals find the tools and resources they need to succeed and thrive personally, mentally, and professionally. BroThers PGH
BroThersPGH is a branch from the roots of SisTersPGH, a transLED organization that provides opportunities for our trans and nonbinary siblings in Pittsburgh to thrive. BroThersPGH coordinates SisTers’ resources for people who identify as transmasculine and/or nonbinary. TGNC Youth Collective
TGNC Youth Collective is a space where young TGNC folk can express their creativity while creating a collaborative initiative that aims to improve service delivery outcomes for TGNC young people through the delivery of activities that build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills in TGNC youth. The TGNC Youth Collective will mobilize TGNC youth to stay on top of social justice issues that undermine equality for TGNC Youth while organizing brave spaces for TGNC youth to be heard and affirmed. People’s Pride
SisTers PGH, a nonprofit founded and operated by Black, Pittsburgh-grown transwomxn and femmes, has been organizing the People’s Pride PGH March and Music Festival every year since
2017. It was created to uplift Black, trans and nonbinary folks who have for too long been segregated and abused by the Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh. Each year, we march to include local nonprofits, unions, and community members. We march to oppose white-, cis-, gay-centered Pride parades and extravagant parties, which are too expensive for many nonprofits and communities to participate in. We march to offer another opportunity to feel what being at a true Pittsburgh Pride can feel like. Name Change Project/Reborn

SisTers PGH Program Coordinator acts as a liaison between attorneys, legal processes, and each client that comes to SisTers PGH in need of this service. Emergency Shelter
