Day 2 in Boston was one for the books!

We explored one of America’s most historic cities, taking in iconic sights throughout Boston including Fenway Park, Paul Revere’s House, Old North Church, and so much more. Our panoramic city tour gave choristers a glimpse into the rich history that helped shape our nation.

After lunch at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, we headed to Harvard University for guided walking tours of campus. Each choir also had the incredible opportunity to spend time with Harvard’s Director of Choral Activities, Andrew Clark, pushing themselves in new ways in a building that is one of the oldest college buildings in America.

We wrapped up the day with dinner, bowling, arcade games, and plenty of laughter before heading back to rest up for another exciting day ahead.

Boston, you’ve been amazing so far!

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice made it possible for future generations to dream, grow, and raise their voices freely.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we pause in gratitude for those who gave everything.

From all of us at Phoenix Children’s Chorus, thank you to the heroes we remember today. 🇺🇸

🧑‍🎓 Senior Spotlight 🧑‍🎓

Liam has been in Phoenix Children's Chorus for 7 years, singing in Cadet, Concert, Bravo, Tutti, Encore & Dolce.

Advice he has for someone new to PCC: "I would tell someone joining PCC to just enjoy it. There will be many long nights of failed memory checks or bad days when it's hard to imagine still having to go to rehearsal, and while I remembered it was worth it through tours and performances, this past year I've really started to focus on the moments in between. Before the standing ovations in the Cathedrals, there were a hundreds of beautiful run-throughs in rehearsal and many more laughs with my friends. I think it's important to look forward to the big moments, but also enjoy the smaller ones and cherish what you have because as I'll be learning soon, it sadly won't last forever."

From the entire PCC family, congratulations Liam!

🧑‍🎓 Senior Spotlight 🧑‍🎓

Kennedy has been in Phoenix Children's Chorus for 11 years, singing in Prep, Cadet, Concert, Bravo & Encore.

Advice she has for someone new to PCC: "Be ready for the process above all. The process is what builds the community and what forms you as a chorister and person. The work will be great, but the reward is even greater."

From the entire PCC family, congratulations Kennedy!

🧑‍🎓 Senior Spotlight 🧑‍🎓

Mia has been in Phoenix Children's Chorus for 6 years, singing in Cadet, Concert, Bravo, & Encore.

Advice she has for someone new to PCC: "My advice would be to put yourself out there no matter how difficult, ask someone about their day, meet new people, and try to make an impact even if it is small."

From the entire PCC family, congratulations Mia!

🧑‍🎓 Senior Spotlight 🧑‍🎓

Cassie has been in Phoenix Children's Chorus for 7 years, singing in Cadet, Concert, Bravo, Encore & Dolce.

Advice she has for someone new to PCC: ""Go all in! You can spend your entire time in this organization showing up right on time, singing the music, and leaving as soon as rehearsal ends with no penalty. But in doing so, you’ll miss out on one of the most valuable gifts PCC has to offer: community. If you put yourself out there the connections you make will become more than just people you see on Tuesday nights, they will become a family. :)"

From the entire PCC family, congratulations Cassie!
